From Wednesday of the First Week of Great Lent:
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may confess thy name.
O godly apostles, fervent intercessors of the world and defenders of the Orthodox, ye who have the power to draw near with boldness unto Christ our God.
O all revered ones we beg you: pray on our behalf that unhindered we may keep holy season of the fast and receive the grace of the consubstantial Trinity.
O great and glorious preachers worthy of all honor, pray for us.
From Wednesday from the Fourth Week of Great Lent:
From the morning watch until night, from the morning watch let Israel hope in the Lord.
As we venerate today the Cross of the Lord let us cry aloud:
Rejoice O Tree of Life over Hades triumphant;
Rejoice, O joy of the world and slayer of corruption,
Rejoice by the power thou scatterest the demons!
Strong support of the faithful, weapon that cannot be broken, we pray Thee, guard and sanctify those those who honour Thee.
From Friday of the Fourth Week of Great Lent:
O praise the Lord all ye nations; praise Him all ye people!
My soul’s dignity I have enslaved to the passions;
I am become like the beasts and have no power to lift mine eyes unto the Most High;
but with my head bowed low O Christ I pray to Thee as did the Publican:
O God be merciful to me and save me!
Now the Powers — the Entrance Hymn (replaces the Cherubic Hymn):
Now the powers of heaven invisibly with us do serve.
Lo, the King of Glory enters.
Lo, the mystical sacrifice is upborne, fulfilled.
Let us draw near in faith and love, and become communicants of life eternal.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
